Can you believe it? Our 23rd anthology?
The focus of our December 2026 anthology will be wild spirituality. The rationale is fourfold
· We write a lot about our relationship with the natural world already
· We just launched Wild Spirituality as an initiative in September
· Wild Week will enter its third year in 2027
· Having a book that supports these initiative makes sense and cross-pollinates the work of Retreat House
We will not call the book “Wild Spirituality” as Victoria Loorz of the Center for Wild Spirituality has a book coming out soon with that title. The book title will emerge from the book. I find book titles often change as a phrase pops out from the writing.
The rest of the process will be the same. Essays are limited to 2700 words. Artwork is limited to high-resolution (600 dpi) grayscale photographs or photographs of original artwork. Full color photo submissions for cover art are welcome. You may submit writing, art, and/or an idea for the cover.
Contribution Fees help defray the publication cost and entitles contributors to 3 books. Additional books may be pre-ordered at the author rate of $5 per book. After the initial print run, books are $10. Author Fee: $100 — New Author Fee: $50 — Artist Fee: $50.
