Ep 33: Finding Harmony with Regina Hunt and Karen Hoffman
In this season of our podcast, we have been focusing on HARMONY — how we see and seek it in our lives. We explore questions about how harmony feels, looks and plays out in the everyday rhythm of our life, as well as in both the best and most challenging of times.
In this episode, Karen Hoffman visits with cherished friend and colleague, Regina Hunt. Regina is one of the first people Karen met in the RH community. As a basis for their discussion, Karen & Regina shared a poem by John O'Donohue, which you can read below.
Regina is a trained spiritual director and is deeply involved with Faith and Grief, in addition to being on the Board of Directors of Retreat House.
Today, Regina will share some of her own stories of chapters in her life where she found ways to seek harmony, focusing on her gratitude practice and other tools that have shaped her life, even through the most crushing and devastating losses, change and transition. Listen and read to learn how some of Regina’s tools can help each of us find harmony in every day life.
Note from Karen:
Regina was my trainer for Faith & Grief facilitation. Later, with her beloved husband, Hank of blessed memory, we three participated in the Compassionate Living training. I know listeners will gain valuable insights and wisdom through the stories Regina shared with me.
Huge thanks to Regina for your brave vulnerability and wisdom and to Gavin for excellence in editing and production of today’s episode.
"For Belonging"
by John O'Donohue.
“May you listen to your longing to be free.
May the frames of your belonging be large enough for the dreams of your soul.
May you arise each day with a voice of blessing whispering in your heart …something good is going to happen to you.
May you find harmony between your soul and your life.
May the mansion of your soul never become a haunted place.
May you know the eternal longing that lies at the heart of time.
May there be kindness in your gaze when you look within.
May you never place walls between the light and yourself.
May you be set free from the prisons of guilt, fear, disappointment and despair.
May you allow the wild beauty of the invisible world to gather you,
mind you, and embrace you in belonging.”
