Ep. 29: Nurturing the Next Generation and Freedom in Interfaith Spaces; Conversation with Shazia Anwar

In Pakistan, where she is from and grew up, there were all kinds of children and families in her neighborhood. Muslim, Christian, Hindu, and more. It was very international.

Interfaith conversations were part of her rhythm of life before she even knew that was a term.

In the episode, we visit with Dr. Shazia Anwar. Shazia is a board member at Retreat House and active in our Common Ground inter spiritual ministry. She takes us back to her roots growing up in Pakistan as a Muslim, becoming an OBGYN as well as her eventual journey to the US where she raised her own family and now works as an educator and a coach from a psycho spiritual aspect.

She specifically works with a group of about 50 students ages 10 and up who are Muslim and attend public schools. This conversation highlights a love and trust in God and a love for God’s people.
