A River Runs Through You
an eco-theological exploration of social justice
Friday, April 25, 7:00–8:30 pm CT, on Zoom
Complimentary
“A gorgeous concept! The spiritual journey your story invites is inspiring.”
“The choice of the protagonist as the Potomac River is quite imaginative
and bold”
“It stands on being conscious – as an individual, as part of a larger constellation. Thank you very much for this precious contribution!”
What would a river say, if you knew how to listen?
Are you curious about how engaging in social justice through the lens of the Beloved’s first cathedral, Mother Earth, can open new ways to view our Selves and our nation? Do you need to connect to what is and always has been virtually immutable . . . . the abiding presence of Spirit in the natural world? In this one-woman contemplative play, written during the pandemic and designed for digital performance, the Potomac River narrates her own history paralleling that of the humans who have walked her shores. Motivated by her own timelessness, she is a metaphor for history and the choices we face that will shape our collective future. The performance will be followed by an open conversation.
