Prayer is one of the foundations of the Retreat House Rule for Life. We encourage all offerings of prayer, and we hold space for prayer each day at the house and online. Online prayer will be transitioning from RH Circle to a new spot on the RH Website. Look for changes coming in the next few weeks.

HOSPITALITY

Wednesdays at Retreat House are filled with Holy Mystery and hospitality. There is a opportunity to engage in these practices online. Check out the the Writer’s Prompt, Art Prompt, and Spiritual Resources. These will be updated weekly. If you don’t get a chance to join us in person, you can try some of these resources posted online.

As we prepare for the Retreat House Wild Week April 21-27, 2025, we are exploring what it means to be wild in our spiritual living. If you have a spiritual practice that invites “untamed spirituality,” please reach out. We would love to find space for you to share your gifts with us.

AN INVITATION FROM THE RH RULE OF LIFE

This week we look at the invitation to prayer. All offerings of prayer are honored at Retreat House. We keep hours of prayer at the house and online. We keep a list of prayers we are asked to pray. We pause when we notice the Holy. We have a prayer rug for our Muslim brothers and sisters to join hours of prayer. We sit in silence often to listen for the stirring of the Spirit. We pray with music, art, and nature. ALL offerings of prayer are welcomed and honored. This part of the RH Rule of Life helps define who we are as an inter-spiritual community. In this way we get close to living life as a prayer, and we enjoy the peace and calm that comes.
